Control Send Devices
The Control Send Devices tab looks like this:
Only RS232 Devices are shown on this tab as Control Send MIDI messages are all sent via the MIDI Out or MIDI Thru port, which is selected under the MIDI Devices & Control tab of the Permanent Options.
RS232 Comm Ports that you want to use for Control Send cues will have to be selected for RS232 Out under the RS232 Control tab of the Permanent Options. Under that tab you will also need to configure the ports to match the baud rates and other settings of the external RS232 devices. |
Properties and Controls
RS232 Devices
Device Name Used in Cues: Enter the name you want to use for the device in your cues, such as 'Projector'.
RS232 Comm Port: For each line with a 'Device Name Used in Cues' you must select from the drop-down list a Comm Port to be used for sending the Control messages. This list will always contain Com 1, Com 2, Com 3 and Com 4, but this does not necessarily mean all 4 Comm Ports are available. You will get a warning message if you try to use a Comm Port that is not available.
